Benign cellular changes means that you have chances in cellular structure of cervix or vaginal mucosa, but these are not cancerous changes. There is also predominance of round bacteria, which are not found in normal vaginal flora. Most common cause of benign cell change are sexually transmitted infections, repeated trauma to mucosa, etc. You will now need antibiotic ointment which would be used vaginally.
