What Do Blackhead Like Bulbs Causing Bleeding On Chin Indicate?
I have what I THINK is a black head by my lower right mustache, I pulled it out.The way it looked was a slab of skin with multiple BULBS underneath that had black dots a the end.The hurt pulling them as blood streamed from where I pulled it.Immediate I used alcohol. Then an HOUR LATER yet ANOTHER ONE!!!,I pulled again it felt as if I had pulled a small hole in my face.Once again bleeding lots of it,the next day the same thing. My cleanliness is second to none so this bothers me what is it & what do I do...please help
From your description, it seems to be blackheads only. Our face is having a highly vascular skin, so even minor trauma can cause significant bleeding. Above that, forceful removal may cause scar/discolouration there on healing.
Now clean the area 3 times a day with soap and water, and apply antibiotic creams like fusidic acid or mupirocin for 5 days, to get it healed. Cleansing face with soap / face lotions 3-4 times a day can help reduce blackheads by avoiding clogging of hair follicles. Resistant cases may need anti acne creams to be applied.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
