Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I got 3 blister like spots between my lip and nose but not touching either . They filled up with a clear liquid and then popped in the space of 12-14hours. I have never had a cold sore but they had similar characteristics such as a tingling of the skin before rising ! Any ideas on what these may be would be much appreciated!
You have symptoms of blisters between lips and nose which could be due to an allergic reaction, sun blister and it could be a viral infection such as cold sore. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to - Avoid hot, salty, spicy and sharp food. - Cover your face while going outside in the sunlight. - Suck on ice pops. - Apply lip balm to moisten lips. - Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water. - Take vitamin B2 and niacin supplement. If the condition keeps on persisting, then you should consult oral pathologist for proper examination and rule out other systemic conditions. The doctor may start treatment accordingly and take antihistamine medications to prevent allergy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
