Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Earlier today I notice my clitorus was a little sensitive. My husband and I go to have innercourse, my husband tried to go down on me and my clit was painful. We had to stop. I look at my clitorus to find tiny red bumps, in, around and on my clit and hood. Is this herpes? Or a reaction to the condom we used a few days ago?
** Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern
1. To rule out the possibilities including folliculitis, vulvovaginits, herpes your primary care doctor or OBGYN doctor can determine if it is allergy to latex condom [contact dematitis, atopic dermatitis] or these sores are genital herpes sores with a physical examination and some simple tests and may put you on antiviral medicine
2. Although there might be a risk of getting Sexually Transmitted disease [STIs] it's important to visit a health care provider for proper diagnosis and treatment, since genital warts and herpes are two types that can cause sores on or around the genital and since genital sores are diagnosed by visual examination, it is important to visit a Doctor,.
