What Do Blood Clots In The Abdomen Indicate?

Hello, my problem started back in 2009 I had a abdominal scan and was told I had something on my liver and later Informed it was blood clots caused by red wine and advised to cut the red wine down and if you start to feel unwell come back and see a doctor but nothing to worry about. 2014 I had to go for another abdominal scan, same as before something on the liver but considerably more, I ve had 3 more scans on my liver which show fatty liver but nothing sinister going on. I ve had numerous blood test at the doctors which keep showing my red blood cells are high and I should watch the alcohol that I m drinking, I m not a heavy drinker so I can t understand why my blood tests keep coming back the same high reading The last blood tests 2 months ago came back high and saying I have a enlarged hematoma. I m due to go back for more tests this month I haven t had 1 drop of alcohol. I have developed a swollen ankle it doesn t really hurt just a bit sore it has gone a bit discoloured I was wondering if this could be linked to the fatty liver.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Propranolol withdrawal should be accomplished over 10-14 days, even in this case you must contact your doctor. The sudden withdrawal may result in severe exacerbation of hypertension, arrhythmia or other very serious conditions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
