What Do Blood Discharge And Positive Pregnancy Result Indicate?

Hello, My name is Rebecca I have taken a positive pregnancy test but have not yet confirmed the results with a doctor. The concern I have is that today I had about a quarter size amount of blood on my panties. Is this something I should be worried about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The spotting could be seen in pregnancy. So you may need not to worry about that.

However, you should get confirmed pregnancy through pelvic and transvaginal ultrasonography.

It will confirm your pregnancy and will let us know whether the pregnancy is intrauterine or ectopic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
