General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The bump may be a sebaceous cyst which is a sac that can occur in the skin. It is not cancerous but it collects material. It may also be an abscess which is a collection of pus.

It would be best to see your doctor to find the exact cause so that you can be treated appropriately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
