I have brown freckles on the top of my feet. Its not raised and if covers the entire top of both feet. No pain just looks like light freckles. I do take Lisinopril 20 mg daily for blood pressure. I use a supplement for thyroid support over the counter,,Actalin , multivitamin, ibuprophen, and that is about it. In my younger years I did have a lot of sunny beach days. I wouldn t think it would make a difference now, after 40 years But I m not a medical Doctor.I just turned 56.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Freckles are generally cause when more melanin is formed due to exposure to the sunlight, it can be genetic & sometimes due to hormonal imbalance. Sunscreen lotions will not help, if the freckles are bothering you so much you can try getting rid of it by laser therapy or cryosurgery. Yes, topical ointments & bleaching creams do help but take a lot of time. Take multivitamin supplements like vitamin A, B, C, & E. Take fresh fruits & veggies. You can apply home remedies like yoghurt mixed with turmeric, etc. Laser treatment removes freckles effectively.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K.
