What Do Bruise-like Lumps On Legs And Arms Without An Injury Mean?

I have bruising (sort of lumps) on my laps, legs, and arms that occur without injury. They eventually heal but they reappear on different spots over and over again. They are sore and of dark colour (by the way I am of dark colour too). It has been about four years that I am experiencing this and I am worried! I have been diagnosed with low platelets and would like to know if this is related to that. If so, what can I do to solve this problem?

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
Bruises develop when small blood vessels under the skin tear or rupture, most often from a bump or fall.
Blood leaks into tissues under the skin and causes the black-and-blue colour.
Most of the time bruises heal, usually within 2 to 4 weeks, they often turn colours, including purplish black, reddish blue, or yellowish green.
Sometimes the bruise spreads down the body in the direction of gravity.
Most bruises are not a cause for concern and will go away on their own.
Swelling and soreness can be relived by
Rest
Ice packs on the lesion
Compression
Elevate
Gently massage
Bruising easily does not mean you have a serious health problem, a tendency to bruise easily sometimes runs in families.
Blood spots under the skin may be either purpura or petechiae.
As you are quoting that your platelet count is less you should be thoroughly evaluated for identification of cause.
Thank you.
