What Do Bumps On The Tongue And Swelling On The Upper Gum?
I noticed about a month ago I had two bumps at the back of my tongue, they aren t painful and can be popped, they have gone down in size and almost disappeared but just came back a few days ago along with my nlft aide of my upper gum became swelled...I had a upper respiratory infection about a mth ago and was put on a generic form of bactruim
Bumps at the back of tongue are appearing to be due to inflamed Circumvallate Papillae and as it occurs due to some or the other form of infection like upper respiratory tract infection or tooth infection.. The circumvallate papillae are already large in size and can appear elevated.. However to confirm just get a clinical examination done by an Oral Physician.. For now you can do warm saline gargles and avoid spicy and hard foods.. Drink cool water.. For swollen upper gum you can get checked that whether it is tooth infection or gum infection and for this an x ray can be done.. For gum infection scaling and a course of antibiotics like Metronidazole and gum paint massage can help.. If there is tooth decay then Root canal treatment can be advised..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
