Please help I ve had a few bumps on my upper inner thigh I always get them. They get about the size of a quarter but they ll go away eventually. About 3 years ago I had surgery cause I had a cyst in my inner labia. But recently I ve had a reddish bump on my upper inner thigh it s like 3 small bumps together I ve squeezed them and they hurt so much sometimes blood comes out or puss. Or sometimes it will ooze out itself but this one hasn t gone away and not its like open and it looks nasty please help.
You likely need a course of antibiotics to help heal these lesions. Intertrigo is a condition which tends to develop in these areas. It can occur in the groin, under the breasts or in the axilla.
It is due to heat, moisture and friction. Bacterial and/or fungal infections can also occur when intertrigo is present.
The antibiotics mentioned would help the bacterial infection but you need to reduce the heat, friction and moisture to effectively treat the intertrigo.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
