Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Calcified Meningioma And Right Acoustic Neuroma Filling Auditory Canal Mean?
Stable 1.8cm left frontal calcified meningioma. Stable mild mass effect on the brain parenchyma without edema. Also, 1.5cm right acoustic neuroma filling the internal auditory canal with slight extension into the CP angle. What does all this mean? Thank you.
The report suggest that there is a small tumor like growth at base of brain where some important nerves exit the brain and may cause compression over those and may need surgical removal so a neurosurgeon review may be needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
