Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Circular Red Spots Under The Breast And Chest Area Indicate?
I have a circular red spot on the underside of my breast and chest. There is a small red center, then it s paler around, with a darker outer circle. It is about 3 accross, and has a mild burning feeling and tender to touch. It showed up 4 days ago and has gotten larger in that time. Do I need to get this checked out?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of circular red spots under the breast and chest area which occurs due to infection of hair follicles leading to folliculitis and due to accumulation of sebum in sebaceous glands as these areas have abundance of it.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to make use of products containing benzoyl peroxide and apply topical antibacterial ointment such as mupirocin and do yoga and meditation daily. Drink plenty of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Apply Adapalene gel once at night. Avoid excessive sun exposure. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist once and go for complete examination done and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
