Hello and welcome to HCM, The pelvic ultrasound shows presence of cystic structure in ovary. The cystic lesion is an enlarged follicle on ultrasound.. Follicles develop in ovary in every menstrual cycle and a dominant follicle is formed which undergoes rupture to release the ovum. Some of the follicles enlarge and form cystic follicle. However, it is necessary to follow up the cystic follicle on ultrasound to look for enlargement or development of any abnormality in the follicle. Diffuse coarse myometrial echoes can be due to adenomyosis in the myometrium. Adenomyosis is a benign condition of the myometrium. Overall there is nothing to worry about the findings on ultrasound.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
