General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The dark discoloration of knees you are noticing is Acanthosis nigricans, commonly seen in diabetes. Proper control of blood sugar will resolve the issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
