General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Delay in periods can be due to pregnancy, overweight or low body weight, stress, PCOS or thyroid problems etc. I advice you to:
- Do serum beta HCG test which is more reliable than HPT to rule out pregnancy
- Check Hemoglobin levels
- Thyroid function test
- Nutritious diet rich in protein and iron
- Exercise
- Consult a gynecologist for further assistance if any.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
