What Do Delayed Periods And Negative Pregnancy Test Result?


Hi .. my last menses was Nov 4 but my period was delayed and my urine test resulted with negative, 28 December I met my gyne she suggested to take duphaston 10 mg for 7 days to get periods..she also told me that I have pcod.. but I feel am a pregnant..now I already took duphaston for 4 days and doing exercise daily..my weight is 55.5 kgs..if am a pregnant will this Duphaston and exercise effect my pregnancy...plz help me ....am very tensed with this...

Hi,

Your delayed period could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by PCOS. Urine pregnancy tests was negative rule out pregnancy. You can also confirm pregnancy by blood HCG test. Doctor gave you duphaston. It contain progesterone and induce period by correcting luteal phase hormonal imbalance.

Take it for 10 days, once you stop period will occur in next 5-7 days. Duphaston does not affect pregnancy. Inspite it support implantation and pregnancy, promote growth of baby. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise, maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
