What Do Delayed Periods With Spotting And Cramps Suggest?
I am not sure how many days my menstrual cycle is I believe it s about 28 days, I had unprotected sex I believe to be the last week of May. I took Levonelle within the first 12 hours. I had some spotting. However my real period hasn t come. I ve taken several pregnancy tests and all negative. I don t know what to do? Is this normal. I get cramps thinking it s my period but it s not, no preserve of blood just Normal vaginal discharge.
You took the emergency pill as soon as 12 hours so you took it correctly and you are safe from pregnancy. Spotting is normal after using emergency pills. I don't think you may need to take other precautions for that intercourse. You don't have to worry about pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you all the best.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
