General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As far as my surgical experience is concerned, the dimples on lower back usually do not give extensive pain. It is the underlying spinal nerve compression which is responsible for shooting, radiating pain over the back of thighs. I recommend to undertake an MRI of the concerned region and consult with report.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
