General & Family Physician, Dr. Ina Zaimi's Response
Hello,
Thank you for the question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
With such a presentation on my clinic I would think of an imbalanced level of the levotyroxine you are taking. The signs and symptoms you are describing are attribute of hypothyroidism. I would you to have a blood test to make sure the dose is right for you. In order to achieve thyroid hormone balance, I would recommend you to keep your thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) level between 0.45 and 4.12 mIU/L. When you start treatment, it's very important that your doctor monitors you closely by testing your TSH level every 6-8 weeks to make sure that the dose you are taking is appropriate for you.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health, Dr. Ina Zaimi
