General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to hcm,

As you are having sleep problems, your doctor has advised you to get tests done to rule out sleep apnea. As sleep apnea causes fatigue, tiredness and difficult night sleep, drowsiness in day time. Even sometimes increased RBC count could be because of chronic hypoxia due to sleep apnea. I advise you to get the investigation done as prescribed by your doctor.

Thank you
