Hello. Routine serum amylase tests range from 117 - 129. USS appeared normal. I have total cholesterol of 7.1 LDL 3.3 HDL 3.4 TRIGLYCERIDES 0.8. I have stopped drinking alcohol since but drank 3-4 lagers a night before this. Do you think these raised amylase levels are caused by alcohol? I have no other symptoms. Kind Regards.
Normal levels of amylase vary according to laboratory and the upper threshold is less than 140. Your level of less than this so i would not worry regards the result. Drinking in moderation is always good for your health in general so try and keep this to an acceptable level.
Kind Regards
