What Do Elevated Liver Enzymes Indicate?

My recent blood work in June my alt (sgpt) was 48 in July it jumped to 131 In June my ast (sgot) was 45 in July it jumped to 68 I am scared because all my numbers were normal before June I am scheduled to see a gastroenterologist in two days What is wrong with my liver I don t smoke or drink I am a runner Please help

Hello,
There is nothing abnormal to worry. The liver enzymes indicates any injury to liver such as hepatitis, Generally it reaches thousands and in your case these are almost normal and nothing to worry
