My liver enzymes are elevated ast of 247 and alt of 138. Had ultrasound of liver and normal size and texture. Have had abdominal pain on both left and right sides radiating to midline of back (ruled out cardiac events with ekg and blood work). I do not take any statins or Tylenol or nsaids. I do not drink.

Hello,

Since you have elevated AST and ALT levels, please be advised to undergo hepatitis serology to rule out possible hepatitis A, B, C or E infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
