Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Siddartha's Response
Hello,
Small masses in the myometrium are usually fibroids. They are benign and occur in the reproductive age group. In the query, you didn't mention about any symptoms if you had associated with that.
Most common presentation for fibroids is prolonged bleeding (particularly larger ones and those impinging in the endometrium). If they are symptomatic and worrisome, they can be removed by a simple myomectomy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Siddartha
