What Do Fallopian Tubes Are Opacified Mean?

Hi, I received my results back from my HSG test. They read: Both Fallopian tubes were opacified. Ampullary portions are mildly dilated. Patency of Fallopian tubes was not confirmed as no free intraperitoneal spillage of contrast was demonstrated. Adequate amount of time and contrast was applied. Please tell me what does this mean?

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest that both the fallopian tubes are opacified - means the contrasted seen entering and well seen at the time of the x-ray / fluoroscopy.
2.But there is a block at the level ampullary region - block confirms with the dilatation.
3.There is no spillage of contrast on any of the side suggest - difficulty in getting pregnancy with out treating the block.
4.The treatment in this case will be re-canalisation or dilatation of the tubes.
5.And treat the underlying systemic causes if there are any - which can be responsible for the tubal block - like adhesions, inflammatory cause, tuberculosis.

Good luck.
