Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Fever Along With Low Grade Fever And Vomiting Indicate?
for the last week or so, ive had a low grade fever, earlier on this week I had some acidity feelin gin my stomach, I took miralax and that went away, but still have some nausea, and a lot of burping. and some occasional pain throughout my lower abdomen. I am extremely bloated and have been for quite a while. I am not vomiting, I got bloodwork done at the doctors and nothing came back abnormal. what is wrong with me!!
I had seen your medical presentation and understood your anxiety. Coming to your symptoms, low grade fever and vomiting generally occur in many conditions. Most common conditions are gastroenteritis, food poisoning etc.
By see all your presentation, the most probable cause might be gastroenteritis. It could be due to bacteria or virus. As your blood tests were normal, you have to confirm by 1. stool culture 2. complete blood picture 3. gastric function tests 4. serum electrolytes
Coming to treatment part miralax (polyethylene glycol) is not the accurate drug of choice. You can follow the below treatment: 1. antibiotics 2. antiemetics like ondonsetron 3. pre and probiotics 4. plenty of fluids
There is no need to worry but it is better to act as soon as possible. Hope you could understand all the relevant aspects and act accordingly.
