What Do Flank Pain And Bleeding After Urination Indicate?

I am I am a 49 yr old female healthy, take no meds. I had a hysterectomy in 2013. For the past 2-3 months I have been experiencing right back flank pain. It is not noticeable until I go to sit or lay down. The pain is dull and is not tender to touch. I went to my php and my urine was fine. Her ordered a kidney ultrasound which was fine. The discomfort has started to move more toward spine and up slightly. Still dull and only noticeable with certain positions. Tonight I went to the restroom and noticed bright blood n my toilet paper. No clotting and not a large amount. I later went to the restroom again. The blood was no longer present. There is no pain with urination but there is a strong odor. Even with a negative urinalysis. The strong urine is not new but I do not drink an abundance of water. No fever chills etc.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Blood in urine with flank pain can be due to a kidney stone, infection or tumor. USG scan will not pick up all the lesions. Please be advised to undergo CT scan of abdomen and pelvis, urine analysis and culture to rule out these possibilities.
