What Do Fluid In The Subacromial And Subdeltoid Bursa And Full Thickness Rotator Cuff Tendon Tear Suggest?

I got results of an MRI saying that there are small cystic changes in distal clavicle. A small joint effusion is present. Fluid in the subacromial and subdeltoid bursa. Moderate degenerative changes at the AC joint and much less at the glenohumeral joint. There is full thickness rotator cuff tendon tear involving the Supra and infraspinatus tendons with maximum gap slightly more than 2.5 cm.also tearing of the subscapularis tendon superiorly.

Hi,

We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it is showing inflammatory changes in rotator cuff muscles and causing rotator cuff syndrome which means, impairment of muscle movements especially in the abduction and lateral rotation.

Needs anti-inflammatory drugs like Naproxen or Ibuprofen etc and may need local steroids after consulting orthopedician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
