What Do Frequent Urination And Presence Of Blood In Urine Indicate?

My husband has had urgent, frequent urination, with inability to hold it. It is painful for him. He has passed blood as well as blood clots. On several occasions it was not just blood, but what appeared to be lining tissue. (if you have ever felt the casing on a bratwurst, that is what it feels like. He was in Vietnam where they heavily sprayed Agent Orange. I am very fearful that this is either prostate or bladder cancer. He has an appointment on Nov. 29th with a urologist, but the V.A. has known this for several months and has left us hanging. We had to go through his Medicare primary doctor to find a local urologist.

Hello,

Blood in urine at this amount and appearance is an emergency and indicating possible:

- bladder cancer
- passing kidney stones

As this has been going on for several months now, I think should see a urologist immediately and run a series of diagnostic tests:

- abdominal ultrasound
- urine analysis and culture and sensitivity testing
- PSA
- complete blood count
- tumoral markers : immunoCyt/uCyt+, BTA TRAK, BTA stat, NMP22, NMP22BladderCh.
