Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My dad has anemia, then he had a stool sample come back positive for blood, he just had a colonoscopy and revealed two growth that need to be removed by surgery and they also saw hardening in the lining of the stomach. We do not have any results back and I am scared to death.
The growths in the colonoscopy report may be benign polyps or they may be a tumor which is bleeding and causing your dad to become anemic. However there has to be enough histopathological data to diagnose. They must have taken biopsies and sent them for histopath. Moreover the stomach lining thickening doesnt necessarily mean that he has a serious condition. Be patient. Have faith in God. Things will workout good for u.
