What Do Heavy Vaginal Bleeding And Nausea After Robotic Laparoscopic Myomectomy Indicate?
I had a robotic laparoscopic myomectomy done and 2 weeks post op (the same day my cycle started). The first day was EXTREMELY heavy and I started experiencing dizziness and occasional nausea. I went to the acute care on day 5 and was given a shot of Phenergan and prescribed Reglan and Antivert. The dizziness has not subsided and I am week 3 post op. The Gynecologist who performed surgery ran blood tests and everything was normal. Is this normal after this procedure?

What Do Heavy Vaginal Bleeding And Nausea After Robotic Laparoscopic Myomectomy Indicate?
Hello, * As per my clinical experience, the heavy vaginal bleeding is not considered normal part of post operative recovery period of myomectomy procedure. * There can be a bleeder responsible for heavy vaginal bleeding. * Immergency ultrasound of the pelvis is mandatory to evaluate for collection of blood in form of hematoma, active spurter or other problems. * Minor bleeder or ooze do response best to hemostatic agents as Trenaxemic acid or Ethamsylate * Moderate to major bleed may need surgical packing or cauterization with harmonic scalpel. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
