What Do High Level Of Triglycerides And High Level Of Total Iron Binding Capacity Mean?

I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and am on medication (synthroid). I recently had a blood test done and my thyroid levels are normal. I am however still having symptoms i.e. weight gain and extreme fatigue. My triglycerides and total iron binding capacity were high. What exactly does this mean?

Hi,

Triglycerides is a kind of fats that are found in blood... total iron-binding capacity is indicative of quality to store iron in your body and its rise means good.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
