What Do Itchy Bumps On The Nose And Cheeks Indicate?
Hi, I have a facial skin reaction. Small pimple like areas primarily around nose extending a bit onto cheeks and toward mouth. It is itchy and appears very dry. I am a 56 postmenopausal ( hysterectomy at 51) female, with no history of acne or skin issues. It started about a year ago, but has accelerated in the past month. I take no drugs and have eliminated all cosmetics and soaps. I have just been washing with hot water and limiting alcohol consumption to a glass of red wine each evening. Any ideas?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your query, you have symptoms of itchy bumps on the nose and cheeks which is mainly due to hormonal changes, stress, clogging of skin pores and change in lifestyle at times.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply combination of Clindamycin gel during day and Adapalene gel at night.
Drink plenty of water. Wash your face frequently during the day with plain water. Take diet rich in multivitamins. If condition keeps on persisting then visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment accordingly.
