What Do Itchy Rashes On The Forearms Indicate?

Hi, I started taking Atorvastain calcium 20mg 1 x daily on Jan 16. As of this past sunday, i started developing an itchy blotchy red rash on my forearms. Could this medication have caused it? Ive also been feeling hot/clammy, then cold. Tonight I took my temp while this was happening, had a low grade fever. 99.5. I m also found to be a new diabetic, and started meformin 500 mg 1x daily then also.Should i be worried?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Skin reactions can occur with both of these drugs , this can be rarely serious with Atorvastatin. However, a drug rash is well a possibility specially if this has started after you have taken the drug. If it is itchy see a dermatologist. You may need changing the drug or he would also see if this could be something else.
