Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi i have a problem with the skin on my face. It is filled with tiny rough itchy dots, and red burn like patches as well as exzema. My jaw and chin are also affected and very itchy. Whole face is dry no matter how much cream and in total pain from itchiness. Face feels tight and super rough. What is the cause??
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy red patches on the face which seems to be due to weather conditions such as dry, cold wind, could be photoallergic dermatitis, harsh chemicals, stress, and psoriasis is another skin condition that causes flaky patches or scales that affect the skin.
I would suggest you to apply aloe vera gel on your skin twice a day and apply broad spectrum sunscreen while under exposure of sun and use only mild soap to wash the face. Exfoliate skin once a week. If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment or anti histamine drug .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
