What causes red pin prick blood dots on legs after sunbathing? I am 45 yr old female and have always sunbathed, in the past few years any little sun I get I get tiny little fluid filled blisters and they itch. Today I am getting red pin prick blood dots all over my legs and today I had full length pants on as I was trying to avoid getting sun exposure to my skin but my skin seems to still have a reaction.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your query you have symptoms of itchy red spots on the legs which can occur due to conditions excessive exposure to sunlight, contact dermatitis and could be allergic reaction.
Need not to worry. You should avoid touching or pricking these red spots and apply aloe vera gel on them. Cover your skin while going out and wear loose trousers to avoid frictional heat generation. Consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine, corticosteroid ointment and may give adrenaline short . For now take Benadryl, apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product.
