What Do Lesions On The Liver Indicate?

had cat scan done, and lab work including liver function. Labs were good, have to go in for an MRI. they called me the next day after scan and said there were some lesions found. Had discomfort on my mid to upper area, but labs looked good. Im not on birth control and liver functions are good. Should I be concerned, and what could it be. I have been feeling bloated and when I try to eat and drink makes the feeling a little worse.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Lesions in the liver may have many reasons. Drinking alcohol leads to cirrhosis of the liver. Toxicity of certain toxins also leads to liver lesions.

If your reports of liver suggested abnormalities in various enzyme levels than consult physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
