Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My blood pressure is really low, 88/47 and my pulse goes from 75 to 105 (through the day) and my machine notes irregular hearbeat. I have left off my Losartan for 5 days. I have an appointment next week so I have been waiting and haven t called my doctor. I feel shaky, but not sure if I need to do something. What would you suggest?
* Low BP can be part of taking an antihypertensive dose and maybe that your BP level is not adjustable with Losartan and BP is going more down.
* The pulse issue is serious and there can be conduction issues through SA or AV node of the heart and must be evaluated with ER visit in terms of an EKG for best treatment guidelines without any delay till waiting for next physician appointment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
