Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Muscle Spasms Under The Left Breast Indicate?
I have what I think are muscle spasms under my left breast in what feels like the inside of my ribcage. All on the upper left side and permeating through the back. It is on the outside of the ribcage - not toward the center (so I don t think it s costochondritis though I m not the doctor). Made worse with deep inhale or movements like standing up or turning. Pain is not sharp or ache-y but feels more like a very uncomfortable hard squeeze. No other symptoms.
Hello and welcome to `Ask A Doctor` service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
* As per my clinical experience, the muscle spasms under left breast indicate possible rib inflammation, ligament sprain or strain or pulmonary irritation from various reasons.
* I recommend to consult your doc and get an x-ray of the chest for further guidelines of management.
Feel free to post further doubts. Thank you.
