Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have received the result of a CT head scan without IV contrast. The findings show mild cerebellar volume loss, nonspecific. We were looking for cause of one episode of dizziness that continued for about 5 hours. All other indications were normal. What can I conclude regarding the volume loss?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hi,
You have mild cerebral atrophy. You need proper treatment of your blood pressure, sugar level or lipid profile if any of these is deranged. Also undergo cervical spine xray as dizziness is the usual presentation of cervical problem. Start low dosage aspirin. Engage in mind games as sudoku. Avoid smoking.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi, General & Family Physician
