Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Had stroke RMCA 11/14 did well until 7/15, fingers & hand went from numb to constant contracture R pinky finger--painful and lost the regained mobility. MRI 8/15 showed distal R MCA encephalo to posterior lenticular nucleus. now dx w Pheripheral pain syndrome L hand to shoulder. Is the encephalomalacia the cause? why no s/s until 8 mo after stroke? the clot busting drugs did not work, 3 hours in OR having the clot removed. My neurologist told me this MRI showed nothing wrong. No fm hx, 66 tall and 170#. now trying stellate ganglion nerve blocks with mild success.

Please consult your treating doctor for finnding exact cause of symptoms...change the brand or dosage of antidepressant if needful Thanks
