Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am hypertensive my bp remains with in 150/80 i am 67 years old i am perfectly ok recently my ecg was done pattern was not very normal and doctor referred to cardiologist he asked to carry out Echo , TMT and other blood test after test he told your echo shows swelling of heart mussel which might be due to your BP tmt test i was quite satisfied however cardiologist told it was mildly positive what does it mean
hello there I understand your concern Your echo suggests that the muscles of your heart have hypertrophied i.e increased in size because of blood pressure and on exercise bulge inside the left ventricle causing your heart to strain and causing changes on your ecg at the peak of your exercise. However those changes recover within a minute too.
A positive test means that you develop ekg changes similar to ischemia.. However in your case it signifies that you need to take better care of your heart with medicines Hope that was useful
