THE PELVIC SCAN AND CULTURE WAS DONE FOUR DAYS AFTER MY PERIOD. Please sir am seriously worried. Would be happy if you can help me evaluate the above results. God bless you.
The hormone panel is being quite in range without major changes, so do not worry for lab tests. The ultrasound is suggestive of bulky uterus which can be in relation with adenomyosis, inflammation or else. The fluid in pouch of Douglas and ovarian cyst of right side are benign conditions and not of that serious concern.
My guidelines at present: - Drink more liquids - Avoid vaginal intercourse at present (if active) - Empiric antibiotic prescription as metronidazole with fluoroquinolones as leveoflox or else - Vaginal hygiene
Depending upon the menses pattern and fertility corner, additional hormone therapy for best results over ovarian cyst part.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
