Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 65 and just had a ultra sound and transvaginal ultra sound ., actually for bladder issues but after the ultrasound met Physician said she found that my uterine walls were thickened and did a biopsy immediately . She then said she found fluid in my uterus that dud not drain since I have cervical stenosis . She said she didn t like the fluid or thickness and told me she will call with the results this week . I am thinking that I will have a hysterectomy no matter what the biopsy shows but I am shocked because I just went for bladder stress incontinence , does these symptoms sound very bad for me ? I am scared of the results .
* As per my surgical experience, the story of agony began with the uterine issue in terms of chronic inflammation of endometrium giving rise to thick wall and cervical stenosis.
* The bladder prolapse is secondary event to the primary pathology as described above.
Without panic, be ready for hysterectomy with vault repair surgery which will cure both of your issues in a single stage best way Laparoscopically.
Wish you best recovery from the surgery. As I am used to handle such cases day in and out, do feel free to consult me at any point of time without hesitation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
