Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Doc., I had a test today. The report says, and I quote The outlined uterine cavity and cervical canal are normal. The left Fallopian tube is partially outlined and associated with free intraperitoneal spillage of contrast medium ipilaterally. The right fallopian tube is not outlined and no spillage of contrast medium is seen ipsilaterally. IMPRESSION LEFT YUBAL PATENCY RIGHT TUBAL BLOCKAGE?SPASM
Hi thanks for posting on hcm. Your report says everything is normal on left side but the right fallopian tube seems to be blocked suspecting it to be because os spasm os the tube which is evident as the contrast introduced cannot be seen flowing through the right tube. Blockage of tube poses difficulties with the transfer of ovum from the ovary to uterus and fertilisation is not possible but conception is still possible as the other tube is intact and ovulation occurs. If the block as suspected is because of the spasm it can be reversed once the spasm of tube is relieved. Hope this is helpful to you. Regards
