Hi doctors I m 26 and 14 weeks pregnant After screening and blood work ,doctors put me at high risk down syndrome . My scan was good but beta hcg and papp values are not good .Doctors give chances of having down syndrome baby as 1: 68 that is 1.5 % chances .I optes to have cvs on monday . What precautions i have to take after cvs??
CVS is an invasive procedure. Patients should rest for at least 24 hours after the procedure and should avoid intercourse for at least 2 weeks. If you develop any bleeding or any pain or other complaints you should let your doctor know as soon as possible. Also, your doctor may give you more explanations and things to be cautious about after the procedure.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
