What Do My Ultrasound Scan Test Results Indicate?

Hello,doctor..my age is 27 yr and 6 months married..Recently I have ultrasonography and found paraovarian cyst which is 4.7×4.2 in size..trying to conceive my doctor says laproscopy should be done..But I don t want to go for lap..I want to know do these type of cyst go on their own with time? If I get pregnant do their any risk with this this? Pls guide me..

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the ultrasound scan report, it states that the ovarian cyst what you are having is quite big in size.
In case it is not removed by means of laproscopic surgery as suggested by your doctor, it might create certain problems as follows:
1. The cyst might grow bigger and could cause compression of neighbouring structures.
2. It could affect your fertility as the ovaries might fail to develop follicle and ovulate on the side you have this cyst.
If you conceive, might not affect pregnancy directly. Since it is large one, it can not be treated using medications or does not reduce on its own.
Kindly undergo the surgery as suggested as the outcome seems to be better.
