What Do My Ultrasound Scan Test Results Indicate?

Good day doctor, May I asked about your opinion and findings in this ultra sound result The gallbladder is physiologically distended with smooth unthickened walls. High intensity echo measuring 3.7 mm is seen adherent to its wall. Through that result of the ultra sound, is it necessary for the patient to undergo surgery? I hope you can lend me a time for this.Thank you very much

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Physiologically distended gall bladder is not as such indication of surgery per se till there are no symptoms of
- recurrent upper abdominal pain after meals
- associated vomiting, nausea
- documented hypoperfusion or hypo-functioning on CT abdomen
- with or without underlying GB calculi, bile duct issues

Kindly provide me scanned copy of the report as well as details of all current symptoms so that better clarification can be curtailed for the particular case need as any medical report has to be co-related on the clinical basis only.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
