What Do My Urine Test And Culture Test Reports Indicate?

my urine test & culture just came back & my nitrite was positive & my leukocyte esterase was 1+ -the result 10,000-50,000 cfu/ml of Escherichia coli. I ve taken five days of sulfamethoxazole-tmp ds. will this medicine cure my infection or do I need something else. thanks

hi.. this seems like you have a bad urine infection. please do complete your antibiotic course. drink lot of water .cranberry juice helps with urine infection..wash your self from front to back after you use the toilet..never back to front..
